Coca-Cola Bottles Reborn

Campaign
Bottles Returned. Bottles Renewed.
A healthier planet for all.

In 2022, 1.5 trillion single-use plastic beverage containers were used by our global population of 8 Billion people. But there is a better option for the drinks we know and love, and it’s here to stay.

Insight
A Collective Invitation

It requires the collaborative efforts of individuals, communities, and organizations to create a positive impact on the environment, society, and the economy. By leveraging the interdependence of various elements, notably the variety of people the returnable bottle interacted with over twenty-five lives, we developed a campaign that communicated that we can work together to foster a more sustainable and resilient future for generations to come.

Idea
Passing Bottles

Coca-Cola's universal bottles have been designed with sustainability in mind, allowing for up to twenty-five uses before recycling. These bottles are versatile, as they can be easily refilled with the beverage of your choice. The campaign aimed to highlight the entire life cycle of a single bottle, emphasizing its journey as it passes through various hands and engages with a diverse range of characters. This narrative underscores the contribution of the bottle to a more sustainable lifestyle by promoting the idea of a longer lifespan of food and beverage containers. By encouraging reuse, the campaign seeks to inspire a greater sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness among consumers."

Impact
Passing Bottles

The returnables goal is part of the World Without Waste plan,
which identifies three main global goals to tackle plastic waste:

• Make 100 percent of its packaging recyclable globally by 2025
and use at least 50 percent recycled materials in packaging by 2030.

• Collect and recycle a bottle or can for each one sold by 2030.

• Work together to support a healthy, debris-free environment.
